Multifunctional role of women as a key driver for rural development

PROJECT MORE – Third (and final) co-creation event – SEERC

On November 29th 2022, the third (and final) co-creation meeting was organized in the MORE project (Multifunctional role of women as a key driver for rural development).  The aim was to review some of the completed training modules and learn and feedback into the research done in Greece by SEERC.

The meeting started with an overview of the project, the key members, and the projected outcomes.  Respondents were shown drafts of training materials and provided positive feedback on their development as well as suggestions for enhancements and further improvements.

The Greek research related to the project was presented.  Participants were extremely happy about seeing the acknowledgement of the critical role of women in Greek rural communities and suggested the need nationally to provide more acknowledgement of this.  A local success case of how women can enhance community involvement and create successful business development was presented (Γωνιατισσες / Women's Cooperative "Goniatisses”).

Participants were eager to see the final development of the project come to fruition.
