Spiga Negra

We are Arrate and Igor, two siblings who one day shared the dream of being able to transform the cereals that the land offers us into quality organic food. Since our beginnings in 2014, we have managed to close the cereal cycle in our environment, starting from a local and organic agriculture, designing our own mill according to our commitment to quality and proximity and culminating the process in our artisan pasta workshop. We are located in the municipality of Humilladero, in the Antequera region of Malaga, between the Fuente de Piedra lagoon (a unique enclave of great natural value, as it is home to the largest colony of flamingos in the Iberian Peninsula) and the Vega Antequerana. An exceptional place for the cultivation of cereals. Our raw material grows in this environment, in the countryside of central Andalusia. Ariadna and Isabel have joined our adventure, that makes four of us! A team of people who, as well as working to ensure that our products are always ready, aim to do their little part in keeping the towns and villages alive and providing employment opportunities based on sustainable models. Our main objective is to produce high quality products, respectful of nature and people, in direct contact with the families and projects that grow our grains and establishing links through a close and trustworthy local trade.
